Welcome to Rick’s Custom Rod’s & Auto Repair, where passion meets precision in automotive excellence. Established in 2010 by brothers-in-law Rick Calderon and Hans Mitchell, our business is rooted in a shared commitment to quality craftsmanship and a genuine love for all things automotive.

Rick Calderon, a Nyssa native, pursued his passion for mechanics by enrolling in and successfully completing the TVCC Mechanics program. His hands-on experience and dedication to staying at the forefront of automotive technology make him an invaluable leader in our workshop.

Hans Mitchell, also a Nyssa native, charted a slightly different course, obtaining his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon and later earning his J.D. at Willamette University. Hans brings a unique perspective to the business, combining his legal acumen with a deep appreciation for the artistry of auto repair.

Together, Rick and Hans have cultivated a business that blends technical expertise with a personal touch.
